「terrariumテラリウム」 田園 器皿展

　　TERRARIUM指的是一个可密封容器，里面装有土壤和植物，阳光透过容器壁，水分子被蒸腾散发到空气中，又凝结在了顶部的玻璃圆顶，顺着熟悉的路径流到底部，沿着土壤向上，不一会儿就又出现在了叶片的气孔上，这样循环方式为内在生物提供了理想的生存环境。

　　本次展览的作者田园把“温柔”想像成为一种流动着的物体，把温柔注入到笔尖的彩釉，流动出了线条、花纹、圆点、色块。这种液体感像极了我们熟悉的水元素，成为陶瓷片上一切原始意象的开始，经过了原野，蒸发到天空，下落成涟漪，流淌至麦穗……田园的作品们好像可以形成自己的terrarium，在小小的容器里自给自足，温柔轻盈地流动着。

A terrarium is a sealable container filled with soil and plants. Sunlight passes through its walls, and water evaporates into the air through transpiration, then condenses on the glass dome above. It follows a familiar path back down to the bottom, travels upward through the soil, and soon reappears through the pores of the leaves. This cycle creates an ideal environment for the organisms living within.

For this exhibition, artist Tian Yuan imagines “tenderness” as something fluid. She infuses it into the coloured glazes at the tip of her brush, allowing it to flow into lines, patterns, dots, and fields of colour. This liquid quality recalls the familiar element of water, becoming the origin of the elemental imagery on her ceramic pieces. It passes through open fields, evaporates into the sky, falls into ripples, and flows toward ears of wheat...

Tian Yuan’s works seem capable of forming their own terrariums: small, self-sustaining worlds in which everything flows gently and weightlessly, held within their own delicate cycle.
